North Lyon County Fire Protection District has adopted the 2018 International Fire Code, Section 304 and 304.1.2, in addition to the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code, Section 302.4 as adopted by the City of Fernley.
Fire Prevention operates under the direction of District Fire Chief. The Mission of Fire Prevention is to improve public safety and decrease loss of life and property through effective Public Education, Fire Inspections and Fire Code Enforcement.
The District is responsible for these related functions:
- Fire Inspections
- Investigations
- Weed Abatement
The District is responsible for inspecting new and existing commercial properties, in addition to multi-family residential dwellings for Fire Life Safety Compliance throughout the North Lyon County Fire District.
